Waters Foundation - In 1997, Chad Pregracke (a commercial diver at the
time) decided to clean up what he considers home ? the Mississippi River.
Leaving his full time job behind and garnering support along the way, Chad and
a band of volunteers have cleaned up over 1200 miles of Mississippi River bank
and have since added the Illinois River to their incredible mission. Visit us

| Tampa Baywatch
- Tampa Baywatch, Inc., a non-profit environmental stewardship program, needed
a boat that was friendly to the bay?s environment and that could withstand
operation by a crew of volunteers. Twin Honda 4-stroke 75 hp engines, altered
to run on compressed natural gas, were the organization?s choice to power a 23?
catamaran that they used to patrol Tampa Bay. Visit us at

| San Francisco Bay Keeper
- With help from Honda, in 1998 San Francisco BayKeeper launched the first
power boat on the entire West Coast with the capacity for fueling with clean
burning compressed natural gas (CNG). The new San Francisco-based pollution
patrol boat replaces the original BayKeeper boat which has logged nearly
100,000 miles patrolling the Bay for pollution sources, and carrying out
BayKeeper's high visibility citizen monitoring program to detect and elliminate
pollution in the Bay and Delta. WaterKeepers Northern California is our new
umbrella name emphasizing our expanding efforts to protect the San Francisco
Bay Watershed from the headwaters to the ocean. Our new name and logo
encompasses San Francisco BayKeeper, DeltaKeeper, Petaluma RiverKeeper and
future projects. To get involved with WaterKeepers Northern California as a
